DUAA follows a traditional August –June academic calendar year. Therefore, applicants must apply before their desired academic year of entry. There will be no contract! If you’ve decided that DUAA Online Islamic school is a good fit, here’s how you can apply to join our school. The application process is the same for all students, regardless of enrollment status. 

  • What makes DUAA online Islamic school unique?
    DUAA is a non-profit, next-generation online Islamic School with the balance of accredited US core curriculum standards and legendary authentic Islamic education with the latest state-of-the-art technologies, including an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based learning platform and highly qualified & certified native teachers from the USA, and UK for core curriculum; Certified Native Arabic teachers with Ijazah for Arabic language, Tajweed, Quaidah, and Quran; and Pakistani teachers for the Urdu language.
  • What are the eligibility requirements at DUAA?
    For Pre-K , a child must be four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year and pass the entrance test. For Kindergarten, a child must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the school year and pass the entrance test. For Grade 1, a child must be six years of age on or before September 1 of the school year and pass the entrance test.
  • How can I connect with the Admissions Team to learn more about the school?
    Prospective students can reach out to the Admissions Team via phone or email, or take part in our virtual Admissions events.
  • Can students join DUAA mid-year?
    Yes, DUAA accept mid-year students. However, parents are responsible to cover pre-requisite. We appreciate new student intake is the fall each year.
  • What materials must be submitted with an application?
    A full list of required materials can be found on our Apply page.
  • Will DUAA contact my child's school to request their transcript?
    No. Applicants are responsible for requesting their transcript from their current school and uploading it to the online application. If your child's school has other requirements, please contact DUAA Admissions.
  • Can an application to DUAA be submitted without a standardized test score?
    Yes. For the 2023-24 application process, standardized test scores are optional for all applicants.
  • Do all application documents need to be in English?
    Yes. Any transcripts or recommendations for students who have attended international schools must be translated to English by a third party prior to application submission.
  • Do you offer financial aid?
    Yes. Financial aid is available to qualified applicants. Note that the application for financial aid is separate from the application for admission. Financial aid awards are determined based on need, merit, and available funds.
  • When is the deadline for applying for financial aid?
    All financial aid applications and required materials must be submitted, along with your completed application for admission, by the application deadline.
  • Do you offer financial aid for non-US students?
    Yes. International families should complete a financial aid application through school and should provide financial documents and any government tax forms for the prior year.
  • What is the tuition fees at DUAA?
    For instruction in English, the tuition fee starts at $100 per month, inclusive of fees for learning material, access to the online platform, and live sessions with teachers. For instruction in Urdu, the tuition fee starts at PKR 5,000 per month, inclusive of fees for learning material, access to the online platform, and live sessions with teachers. This is a pay-as-you-go scheme, where you can cancel anytime with no obliged contract.
  • What are the different options to make a payment?
    We accept payments through our DUAA online bank account or PayPal on our website.
  • Do I have to pay registration fees to join DUAA online school?
    No. There is no deposit or registration fee required.
  • Does DUAA accept homeschooled students?
    Yes. DUAA does accept homeschooled students. Review our resources page for more information.
  • Does DUAA accept international students?
    Yes. DUAA does accept non-U.S. students. As an online school, students can attend DUAA online Islamic school from their home country.
  • How does scheduling work? Are the times listed on website the regular meeting times for classes?
    Yes. In order to accommodate our active, global student body, we create master schedule for everyone.
  • How does this online school work?
    Students are required to complete all self-paced recorded five lessons per week followed by one live class with the teacher per week.
  • How many subjects will my child study?
    Students will study both secular subjects from US core curriculum standards as well as Islamic subjects from legendary education system. US core curriculum standard includes Math, English, Science, Social Science and Computer Science. Islamic legendary education includes Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, Arabic and Urdu languages.
  • How long are the lesson?
    Self-paced lessons are 30 minutes long per subject. The live online lessons with the teachers are 1 hour long.
  • Can my child sit exams after they have completed a course?
    Yes, we provide online testing options with online proctoring. With this digital testing system, you may administer exams from any location. Exams are administered by online software, which is available to both course participants and students.
  • What if my child needs extra support for reading & writing?
    At DUAA, we offer a holistic approach to education and believe each child may need a different level of support for subjects. We have specialized teachers who can offer extra support to students through after-school writing and reading clubs.
  • Can students interact during lessons?
    Yes, during our live online lessons, students will be able to interact with other classmates through group work and discussions.
  • How often do clubs or extracurricular activities run?
    At DUAA, we aim to run our extracurricular clubs once a month. Please refer to our extracurricular page for further information in terms of what are offer.
